On the morning of August 14, 2026, the inauguration ceremony for the “Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Internship Base” and the “Party Building and Student Internship Practice Base” jointly established by the School of Nuclear Science and Technology of Lanzhou University and Suzhou Niumag Analytical Instrument Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Niumag Analysis”) was held at Niumag’s headquarters in Suzhou. Zhang Wending, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology of Lanzhou University; Shao Jianxiong, Associate Dean; Professor Liu Juntao; along with Niumag Analysis Chairman Yang Peiqiang, General Manager Li Xianghong, and Deputy General Manager Zhang Yingli, attended the event, collectively witnessing this significant moment of university-enterprise collaboration.

At the start of the event, the delegation from Lanzhou University’s School of Nuclear Science and Technology, accompanied by Niumag staff, toured the company’s exhibition hall and manufacturing areas, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company’s development history, core technology layout, product R&D systems, and industrialization capabilities. Through this on-site visit, the delegation gained direct insight into the practical applications of low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (LF-NMR) technology across multiple fields. They highly appreciated Niumag’s commitment to independent innovation and its deep cultivation of the scientific instrument sector, laying a solid foundation for future precise alignment of talent cultivation and research cooperation between both parties.

During the discussion session, Niumag Analysis Chairman Yang Peiqiang delivered a welcome address. He emphasized that the core of high-end scientific instrument development lies in talent, and universities are the lifeblood of talent cultivation and technological innovation. The School of Nuclear Science and Technology of Lanzhou University has a profound disciplinary heritage and outstanding research capabilities, highly aligned with Niumag’s technology direction and talent needs. The establishment of these dual bases marks a critical step in Niumag’s efforts to strengthen its talent development chain and deepen its industry-university-research layout. He expressed the hope that the two parties would use these bases as a bridge to break down barriers between campus and industry—not only providing a practical platform for students to grow and excel but also fostering a pipeline of high-caliber professionals for the company. Together, they aim to drive technological advancement in the industry and upgrade China’s domestically produced scientific instruments.

Associate Dean Shao Jianxiong then introduced the school’s disciplinary development, talent cultivation features, and research achievements. He noted that off-campus practice bases are vital carriers for universities to fulfill the fundamental mission of moral education and enhance training quality. The school consistently integrates theoretical teaching with industrial practice and looks forward to working closely with Niumag Analysis to fully leverage their respective strengths. They plan to engage in in-depth collaboration across internship training, career guidance, and joint research, enabling students to hone their skills on the front lines while facilitating the transfer of university research outcomes to industry—achieving genuine complementarity and mutual benefit.

In the presence of all guests, Deputy Secretary Zhang Wending, Associate Dean Shao Jianxiong, Chairman Yang Peiqiang, and General Manager Li Xianghong jointly unveiled the plaques for the “Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Internship Base” and the “Party Building and Student Internship Practice Base.”

The successful holding of this inauguration ceremony is a concrete action taken by Lanzhou University’s School of Nuclear Science and Technology and Niumag Analysis to implement the national policy of deepening industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation. It also represents an important step in promoting the organic connection between the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain. The establishment of these internship bases not only provides Lanzhou University students with a practical platform for combining knowledge and action, but also expands the source channels for precise talent recruitment for the enterprise, fostering a positive interaction between talent cultivation and industrial needs.

Looking ahead, the two parties will continue to strengthen practical cooperation in joint talent development and collaborative research through these internship bases. They will actively explore new models of university-enterprise collaborative education, strive to set a benchmark for industry-education integration, and contribute wisdom and strength to serving national strategic needs and promoting high-quality regional economic and social development.
