Low-Temperature NMR for Nanopore Analysis

The results from both methods show a high degree of consistency in terms of pore types. They reveal two predominant pore sizes below 10nm, a significant proportion around 10nm, and pores approaching 100nm. Regarding total pore volume, the nitrogen adsorption method measured 1.11 cm³/g, while the low-temperature NMR method measured 1.08 cm³/g.

Comparison of Shale Nanopore Testing: Low-Temperature NMR vs. Nitrogen Adsorption

As shown in the comparison above, the overall trends of pore size measured by low-temperature NMR and nitrogen adsorption are consistent. However, low-temperature NMR reveals more inflection points at different positions, indicating its ability to detect a richer and more detailed pore structure.
