Fat Suppression Technique Using Dixon Sequence for Water-Fat Separation MRI in Rats and Mice
The Dixon fat suppression technique, originally proposed by Dixon, is based on the chemical shift difference between water and fat protons.By using different echo times, it acquires two sets of signals: one where water and fat protons are in phase, and another where they are opposed in phase.This enables the effective separation of water and fat signals in magnetic resonance imaging.
