On the evening of April 18, at the ACCSI 2024 Instruments and Detection 3i Award Ceremony, Mr. Yang Peiqiang, Chairman of Suzhou Newmai Analytical Instruments Co., Ltd., was awarded the “2023 Special Contribution to R&D in the Scientific Instrument Industry Award”, presented by Mr. Yan Chengde, Honorary Chairman of the Analysis Instruments Branch of the Chinese Society for Instrumentation.

About the “Special Contribution to R&D in the Scientific Instrument Industry Award”

To encourage scientific and technical workers who have made outstanding contributions to scientific instrument technology innovation, the transformation of scientific instrument technology achievements, and the high-tech industrialization of scientific instruments, the Instrument Information Network initiated the “Special Contribution to R&D in the Scientific Instrument Industry Award” in 2013. The award aims to recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the R&D and innovation of scientific instruments in China, motivating R&D personnel to be more creative and proactive, thus accelerating the development of China’s scientific instrument industry.

Chairman Yang Peiqiang’s receipt of the “2023 Special Contribution to R&D in the Scientific Instrument Industry Award” is not only a recognition of his outstanding contributions in scientific research and technological innovation but also a testament to Newmai’s continuous innovation and progress.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Yang wrote: Over the past few decades, I have led and participated in several key scientific research projects, successfully developing multiple high-end scientific instruments with independent intellectual property rights. Notably, I have made groundbreaking progress in the development of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) imaging analyzers, solving long-standing technical problems that have troubled the industry, improving the accuracy and detection speed of these instruments. With leading low-field NMR technology, we have filled domestic technological gaps across many application fields and made significant contributions to advancing China’s scientific instrument technology and its industrialization.

Mr. Yang’s spirit of innovation not only reflects his personal excellence but also embodies the collective spirit of all the “Newmai team members.”

After over two years of technical breakthroughs, Newmai has successfully achieved the domestic substitution of the mobile full-diameter NMR core analysis system, which is more powerful and its performance indicators have improved by an order of magnitude. This project was awarded the 2023 Jiangsu Province Achievement Transformation Project Fund.
