All these accolades point to one person, an outstanding scientific talent from the High-tech Zone, the Chairman of Suzhou Numag Analysis Instruments Co., Ltd., Yang Peiqiang.

Early Days in the High-tech Zone: Remarkable Achievements in Major Instrument Projects

 

In 2003, Yang Peiqiang, a graduate of East China Normal University’s Radio Physics program, co-founded Shanghai Numag Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. with several NMR experts from the university. In July 2009, Yang led his team to Suzhou High-tech Zone, settling in the Suzhou High-tech Software Park.

Ten Years of Growth

 

Over the past decade, Numag Analysis has grown from a small team of just over 10 members into a technology enterprise with more than 150 highly educated employees, all driven by a “Made-in-China” spirit.

In 2013, Yang led his team to take on the national key scientific instrument development project “Development and Application of High-Performance Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Relaxation Analyzer.” This project successfully passed its pre-acceptance review.

“Competing with imported instruments, making domestic scientific instruments no longer be overlooked or discarded by users or markets. I’ve been determined to give Chinese low-field NMR the recognition it deserves,” Yang Peiqiang expressed. “With this goal in mind, my team and I have continually dug deep in the technical field, working diligently without ever relaxing our efforts.”

“Of course, after some time, I realized I had truly fallen in love with this industry.”

A Lifetime Dedication to One Thing

These technological breakthroughs and application cases have all been pioneered by Numag Analysis.

Yang Peiqiang explained, “From indirect to direct detection, it took Numag Analysis 10 years to bring this product to market. The instrument’s development not only expanded the application market for low-field NMR but also solved the consistency issues required for industrial instruments, something we’ve always strived for.”

The launch of industrial NMR extended Numag Analysis’ market reach into the industrial and corporate sectors. In fact, from the very beginning of the company’s founding, Numag Analysis set its sights on developing industrial NMR, though it took more than a decade to realize this goal.

“In the future, Numag Analysis will balance its focus between scientific instruments and industrial instruments, with a strategic focus on expanding the industrial NMR sector in the coming years,” Yang said.

Numag Analysis is not only focused on scientific instruments but is also making great strides in the commercial sector, opening up a vast “blue ocean.”

Yang Peiqiang humorously remarked,
“The people at Numag have a ‘Bull and Horse Spirit’. We’ve broken through foreign technological monopolies with this spirit, and we will continue to forge ahead on our development path, striving to enhance the country’s research and innovation capabilities, willing to ‘become bulls and horses’ in the process.”
