On April 18, Professor Cui Daxiang, Executive Director of the National Nano Engineering Center and Executive Director of the Precision Medicine Branch of the National Health Industry Enterprise Management Association, visited Suzhou NewMag Analysis Instruments Co., Ltd. for a tour and inspection. Mr. Yang Peiqiang, Chief Scientist and Chairman of NewMag, warmly hosted the visit. Professor Cui has had a long-standing relationship with NewMag. As early as over a decade ago, shortly after NewMag’s establishment, he has consistently supported NewMag’s development in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology.

The senior product manager of NewMag first introduced the company’s latest NMR products and application technologies in the biomedical industry to Professor Cui’s team. Following this, under the leadership of Mr. Yang Peiqiang, Chief Scientist and Chairman of NewMag, Professor Cui and his team had the opportunity to experience and inspect the latest NMR imaging equipment. Professor Cui highly praised and recognized NewMag’s products, commending the significant progress NewMag has made over the past decade. The discussion focused on the application of small animal MRI in nanomedicine, and both parties expressed a desire to explore further cooperation based on their respective technical advantages.

This special visit by Professor Cui Daxiang aimed to promote the application of nanotechnology in the fields of health and intelligent manufacturing. As a member of the Precision Medicine Branch of the National Health Industry Enterprise Management Association, NewMag Analysis is a high-tech company specializing in NMR imaging instruments for nanomaterials in life sciences. Its products have extensive applications in nanobiomaterials. Through this in-depth communication, both parties hope to enhance cooperation. The visit also aimed at creating a win-win innovation cooperation model to promote talent development, discipline growth, and the dissemination of results, in order to strategically position the next phase of scientific development. After the discussions, Professor Cui encouraged NewMag to expand and strengthen its products, filling the domestic gap in low-field NMR instruments. He also expressed hope that scientific analysis instruments could be simplified, made more user-friendly, and industrialized for widespread use across various industries.

Professor Cui Daxiang is the Director of the Nano Biomedical Direction at the National Nano Engineering Center, a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and a visiting professor at Waseda University. He is a recipient of the Ministry of Education’s “New Century Outstanding Talents” award, the Shanghai “Pujiang Talent” program, the Shanghai “Outstanding Discipline Leader” award, and the editor-in-chief of Nano Biomedicine and Engineering. Professor Cui is also the principal scientist of the nano-973 project. He has dedicated many years to the research of gastric cancer early warning and diagnosis, the preparation and biological effects of nanomaterials, and nano diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. He has won the second prize of the team’s scientific and technological progress award and two provincial-level second prizes. He has published 54 SCI papers in journals like Nano Letters, Cancer Research, and Analytical Chemistry, which have been cited over 800 times. Two of his papers have been cited over 150 times, and one paper has been commented on in *Nature Nanotechnology*. His current research focuses on the biological effects and safety evaluation of nanomaterials, the research of nano diagnostic and therapeutic technologies based on nanomaterials, and the development of nanodrug delivery systems.
