April breezes and the beauty of spring, with willow catkins and peach blossoms enticing us.
The 2023 Newmai Analysis Global Service Tour officially kicked off this beautiful spring. Following the Qingdao stop on April 7, the second stop of the Fourth Global Service Tour—Wuxi Station was successfully held at the School of Food Science, Jiangnan University on April 17, 2023.
More than 20 teachers and students from the School of Food Science at Jiangnan University participated in this exchange event. Together with Newmai’s training engineers, they discussed the latest applications and research results of low-field nuclear magnetic resonance technology in the food industry, and engaged in in-depth discussions with after-sales engineers regarding issues encountered during the use of the instruments.

Ma Yun, Laboratory Technician / Instrument Head
Before the event, Ma Yun, the instrument head of the School of Food Science, delivered a welcome speech and introduced the use of Newmai instruments at Jiangnan University’s Food Science Department. She shared the research outcomes achieved using Newmai instruments, allowing the teachers and students present to gain a deeper understanding of the quality and performance of Newmai’s instruments.

Yang Yi, Director of Market Center / Newmai Analysis
Furthermore, to help everyone better understand low-field nuclear magnetic resonance technology and the objectives of this event, Yang Yi, Director of Newmai’s Market Center, briefly introduced the basic principles of low-field nuclear magnetic resonance technology and the purpose and goals of this global service tour.

Zhang Jing, Training Engineer / Newmai Analysis
Newmai Training Engineer Zhang Jing gave a detailed report on the applications of low-field nuclear magnetic resonance technology in the food industry and the latest developments in the field. She introduced the standard methods for low-field nuclear magnetic resonance in food applications. Zhang Jing hoped to provide new research ideas for the teachers and students present and offer an innovative direction for future research topics.

Wang Qiangsheng, After-sales Engineer / Newmai Analysis
Newmai After-sales Engineer Wang Qiangsheng provided a detailed explanation of the principles, structure, and functional features of low-field nuclear magnetic resonance instruments. He focused on the methods for using the instruments, sample preparation, and operational precautions. Additionally, he shared common troubleshooting techniques and basic maintenance knowledge for the instruments, drawn from practical experience and real case studies, to help everyone better utilize the instruments for scientific research and experiments.

Hands-On Practice
During the hands-on session, Engineer Zhang Jing provided training on the basic operations of magnetic resonance imaging, image processing software, and parameter settings, answering any questions and clarifying doubts from the attendees.
With that, the Newmai Global Service Tour Wuxi stop concluded successfully!
