On December 30, 2021, Dr. Zhu Yingying, a postdoctoral researcher at NewMag Analysis, presented the final report on her postdoctoral project titled “Rapid Quality Monitoring and Application Development in the Process of Beef Jerky Production Based on Low-Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.” She provided detailed answers to questions raised by the attending experts, receiving unanimous recognition and successfully completing her postdoctoral research!

Final Report Site
The expert panel for the final review consisted of Professor Fu Caili, PhD Supervisor at the National University of Singapore (Suzhou Campus), Professor Li Shuxian, PhD Supervisor at Nanjing Forestry University, and Professor Liu Xiaojun, PhD Supervisor at Henan Agricultural University. The review team also included Yang Peiqiang (Chairman of NewMag Analysis and Industry Professor at Soochow University), Li Xianghong (Executive General Manager), Cai Qing (Deputy Director of the R&D Center), and Yan Jun (Executive Dean of the Innovation Research Institute and Head of the Postdoctoral Workstation, also Associate Professor at Shanghai University). A total of 7 experts participated in the evaluation.

On-site Review Discussion
After more than two years of postdoctoral research work, Dr. Zhu Yingying, jointly trained by NewMag Analysis’ National Postdoctoral Research Station and the Postdoctoral Mobile Station at Nanjing Forestry University, successfully completed her postdoctoral research tasks and passed the postdoctoral performance evaluation with excellent results, marking her successful completion of the postdoctoral program. Congratulations to Dr. Zhu Yingying!
Dr. Zhu Yingying holds a PhD in Food Engineering from Nanjing Agricultural University, under the supervision of Professor Zhou Guanghong, the former president of Nanjing Agricultural University. During her postdoctoral research, Dr. Zhu overcame the industry bottlenecks of the meat drying sector by combining low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technology with selected meat products, and conducted specific experiments and research with beef as the subject. She successfully analyzed the relationship between the internal moisture phase changes and quality indicators during the meat processing process.
Her research plan is advanced, the technical approach is feasible, and the combination of theory and practical application has innovated traditional measurement methods, offering significant practical value.

During her postdoctoral research, Dr. Zhu Yingying, as a key contributor, received the First Prize of the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, published five research papers (three of them in SCI journals), participated in two invention patent applications, contributed to the development of one group standard, one industry standard, and 11 enterprise standards, and was awarded the Jiangsu Province “Dual Innovation PhD” honor. Her achievements have been significant.

Since 2016, NewMag Analysis has successfully trained five postdoctoral researchers at its Postdoctoral Workstation, all of whom have completed their research topics and successfully exited the station. Currently, four postdoctoral researchers are still conducting research, and one postdoctoral researcher is in the process of joining. The research topics span various fields, including geology, petroleum engineering, and food agriculture, expanding the development of NMR+ research and injecting continuous vitality into NewMag Analysis!
Dr. Zhu Yingying, who successfully completed her postdoctoral research, is the first postdoctoral researcher in the food agriculture field recruited by NewMag Analysis. We look forward to more postdoctoral researchers who are passionate about nuclear magnetic resonance research joining our team, growing together with NewMag Analysis, and creating a new future for magnetic resonance!
