From November 24th to 25th, the 2nd China Precision Medicine Conference was successfully held in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province.

In addition, over 500 researchers, clinical experts, academic scholars, investment institutions, media representatives, and corporate leaders from domestic research institutes, universities, and hospitals attended. The conference was held in Zhuhai, the bridgehead of China’s reform and opening-up, to showcase the achievements of precision medicine in recent years and to discuss the path for the rapid development of the industry.

This conference was hosted by the Precision Medicine Branch of the National Health Industry Enterprise Management Association and co-organized by the Zhuhai Zhongke Advanced Technology Research Institute, the Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, and the Ninth People’s Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine/Shanghai Institute of Stomatology. The theme of the conference was “Precision Medicine—Innovation, Transformation, Intelligence, Sharing,” with the aim to create a high-quality platform for showcasing innovative achievements in the medical and health fields, promote interdisciplinary and cross-field cooperation in precision medicine, and facilitate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. The two-day conference featured multiple highlights.

One of the key highlights of the opening ceremony was the signing of two major cooperative projects: the first project, the Zhuhai Zhongke Advanced Technology Research Institute Innovation Science Park, will be built jointly by the Zhuhai (National) High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, the Zhuhai Zhongke Advanced Technology Research Institute, and the Shenzhen New World Group. This project will create a world-class technology transfer and transformation base, as well as a biotechnology and medical device incubation center, contributing to the medical and health technology innovation development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The total investment is expected to be 1.3 billion yuan, with a planned construction area of 150,000 square meters for research centers, office buildings, and supporting facilities. After it is officially launched, it aims to incubate 100 high-tech companies, with an expected output value of over 1 billion yuan.

The second major project is the signing of a strategic cooperation framework agreement between the Precision Medicine Branch of the National Health Industry Enterprise Management Association and the Zhuhai Zhongke Advanced Technology Research Institute.
