Good News! Yang Peiqiang from Suzhou Niumag Selected as a “Chief Science Communication Expert” by the China Association for Science and Technology

[Overview] In line with the goal of strengthening the national science communication workforce and enhancing public science literacy services, the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) launched the development of national science communication expert teams, following the guidelines set in the 2018 Notice by CAST’s Department of Science Popularization on the expert team construction initiative.

Mr. Peiqiang Yang, Chairman of Suzhou Niumag Analytical Instrument Co., Ltd., has been officially selected as one of the sixth cohort of “Chief Science Communication Experts” by CAST.

Mr. Yang is a graduate of East China Normal University and brings over three decades of experience in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) instrument R&D and application. He has been honoured with numerous titles, including Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Entrepreneur, Jiangsu Provincial “333” Talent Development Program Honoree, Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Expert with Significant Contributions, Gusu Innovation & Entrepreneurship Leading Talent, National Leading Entrepreneurial Talent by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and a recipient of the prestigious “Ten Thousand Talents Program.”

As a Chief Science Communication Expert, Mr. Yang will, during his tenure:

Lead and participate in public-benefit science outreach initiatives

Promote scientific knowledge and foster a spirit of scientific inquiry

Spread scientific thinking and advocate for scientific methods
