On January 11, the “2024 National Natural Science Foundation Project Guidelines” were officially released. According to statistics, the Engineering and Materials Science Division received 814 applications for key projects in 2023, funding 103 projects with direct funding of 236.9 million yuan, and an average funding intensity of 2.3 million yuan per project. In 2024, the Engineering and Materials Science Division plans to fund about 110 key projects in the following 14 areas, with an average funding intensity of approximately 3 million yuan per project, with a funding period of 5 years.
